DEPARTMENT OF CHILD HEALTH NURSING

About the department

Child Health Nursing is a specialised field dedicated to the nursing care of children, encompassing both healthy and ill patients. The primary objective of this course is to equip students with the skills necessary to recognize normal patterns of growth and development in children, as well as identify deviations from these norms. Students are prepared to provide comprehensive nursing care to children experiencing various health issues.

The Department of Child Health Nursing places a strong emphasis on enhancing students knowledge and skills in paediatric medical and surgical settings. In addition to theoretical instruction, the department prioritises hands-on experience in clinical environments. This dual approach ensures that students evolve into exemplary child health nurses capable of addressing the unique needs of paediatric patients.
