Introductions
The Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) is a University under section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (U.G.C.) Act, 1956 set up under the Swami Vivekanand Subharti Vishwavidhaylaya, Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam, 2008 (U.P. Act No.29 of 2008) as passed by Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented by the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh in September 2008. The University has been established under the aegis of Mahayana Theravada Vajrayana Buddhist Religious and Charitable Trust, Meerut, which has acquired a commendable record of service in the field of Education, Health Care and Social Welfare.
The main campus of the University is in the National Capital Region, strategically situated on National Highway 58, Delhi bypass road, Meerut, The campus aptly called 'Subhartipuram', is spread over a sprawling area of about 250 acres of land comprising magnificent buildings, lush green lawns and vibrant surroundings with over 5000 people, dedicated to make the University a Magnum Opus in the World. The Faculty of Education is a constituent part of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University and is approved by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). The Faculty is playing an important role in the field of Teacher Education and running two departments i.e. Department of Education and Department of Physical Education.

To guide our graduate and postgraduate students into compassionate citizens with high ethical and moral values in pursuit of becoming global leaders; develop them into individuals well-versed in professional knowledge backed by technological expertise in the field of teaching-learning process; and committed to sustainable resource management.
Message from the Dean
It is a matter of immense pleasure for me to be a part of the family of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University (SVSU) as a Dean,Faculty of Education. My appreciation goes to students, scholars, teachers and staff for committing themselves towards providing quality education, building the image of the department and the university, working towards bagging accreditation and higher ranking.
As a Dean, Faculty of Education, I’m extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing practical, experience-based education that our college has upheld since its foundation. Our education programs prepare our students to become leaders with the moral depth and intellectual intensity necessary to meet the challenges of a time of critical transition in society. We also guide students how to achieve excellence in their field whether in the field of teaching or sports.
Understanding the importance of quality education, the Faculty of Education is dedicated to provide holistic developmental education to the students. As the Dean, Faculty of Education, I am confident that efforts to excel in the field of education and Physical Education, preaching of moral values amongst students, scholars, teachers and staff at the university campus will continue with greater zeal.
The Education Department is committed to need based curriculum development, innovative student centric learning processes, outcome oriented research culture, participative management, employability skill enhancement and openness and flexibility in teaching, field activity, research social responsibility, Nation building and International collaborations at the highest level of excellence and strive to create a vibrant community of thinking individuals who stand out as valued members of the society and fulfil the requirement of true teachers in our humanity.
As we all know that “Education is Empowerment”, Faculty members of the Faculty of Education have been on the path of delivering quality education, by developing young human resources on the foundation of ethical and moral values, while boosting their leadership qualities, sportsmanship, research culture and innovative skills. We are offering qualitative education in the field of Education, Physical Education and Yogic Science.
The Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Education has determined to contribute to the society through providing the practical and theoretical education of sports to develop sportsmanship, sport performance and teaching skills, Yogic science to promote the holistic health, positive attitude and to grow awareness in the student.
