The university has clear, self-sufficient policies in place to encourage new ideas and advancements in the field of research. Swami Vivekanand Subharti University has taken a leading role in promoting its students, staff, researchers, and intellectuals to work together and conduct interdisciplinary research. To support cutting-edge, world-class research in all disciplines, the university has built a versatile infrastructure. As a way to assist its stakeholders in reaching the greatest levels of research, innovation, and furtherance of research in terms of commercialization, the university has developed the Central Research Station, the Central Research and Incubation Center, the Patent Cell, individual incubation cells associated with constituent colleges, and the Entrepreneur Development Cell (EDC). Since its inception, the university has been deeply committed to and has grown in, the conduct of both in-house and participatory research.
The University has an average dedicated research budget of around 5 crores per year over a 5-year time frame to assist in-house research. This research endowment is used to promote research by improving research infrastructure, holding expert lectures, seminars, conferences, and faculty development programmes, and covering additional costs associated with doing research. The University provides seed money to its stakeholders in order for them to flourish in their respective fields of research. The University takes great delight in revealing that numerous research initiatives undertaken under in-house research with university seed funding have been protected by patent or copyright protection legislation.
The University possesses a well versed Medical College as well as an affiliated well-equipped hospital to perform health research for the benefit of society. The medical faculty has undertaken several clinical trials, which have helped to improve people's quality of life. The Central Research and Incubation Center promotes research among faculty, students, and researchers in order to shape the university's research profile to meet international standards, and the centre conducts cutting-edge research in Drug Delivery Systems and Nano Drug Particles with the involvement of students. It is noteworthy to note that a few MSc students have produced and published several world-class research papers. The Center is being continuously expanded to cover all possible dimensions of research. The centre's aim is to prepare university students for lucrative research positions across the globe by training them to international standards. It is a proud moment for the University to announce that, during a five year period, the University has carried out a considerable number of research projects with external as well as in-house financial assistance. The University has also received research funds from a number of government funding bodies, including the ICMR (Indian council of medical research), the ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research), the Ministry of Culture, and others. The University has also won research funds from major international organizations such as the World Health Organization and others.
