ABOUT US
Uttakalmani Gopabandhu Das Faculty of Education, a constituent college of Swami Vivekananda Subharti University, Meerut was established in 2008, duly recognized by NCTE. However, in 2006 it was affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University as Subharti College of Management and Information Technology. Since establishment of the Department 13 batches of B.Ed, 6 batches of M.Ed, 3 batches of M.Phil have passed out and a total of 15 Doctorate degrees have been awarded.
Department of Education lay emphasis to develop research-oriented teachers, with high ethical moral values, who can groom the future generation for being responsible and accountable citizens of the country. The pupil-teacher is trained to cope with the dynamic emerging trends of the education using their high logical, critical and reflective thinking.
Department of Education has the best fascinating infrastructure, equipment amenities and highly profiled faculty members. Our department is adorned with an air-conditioned library, seminar hall with ICT tools, well-equipped laboratories and lecture halls with modern ICT facilities. Internship, research projects, Seminars, conferences, workshops, community works, extension activities, cultural and sports activities are the salient features of our Department.

Psychology Resource Center |

The basic purpose of psychology resource centre is to create a research and training hub that will simultaneously advance understanding of the human behaviour and encourage evolutionary psychologists to incorporate teaching and learning in explanations of human thought and behavior. Interested individuals are provided with the facility of getting the psychological tests issued and photocopied to carry out their research work. Psychology resource centre is equipped with a large number of latest psychological tests & equipment. |

Curriculum Lab
In order to develop and enhance observational skills, experimentation and inferring skills among pupil teachers, curriculum lab helps the teacher educators innovate and design activities, in tune with the socio-cultural milieu of their pupil teachers along with activities given in textbooks.
ICT Lab
It enables the pupil teachers/ research scholars with the latest facilities e.g. LCD Projector, CCTV, OHP and Smart Board accessible learning and research.
Psychology Lab
It provides the facilities related to psychological tests with various research apparatuses /tools and manuals for verbal and non verbal projective and psychological tests related to various research processes.
Art, Craft & Music Resource Center
It facilitates measure to ensure teaching and learning of art and craft which is an integral part of curriculum for elementary and secondary teacher education programs.
Sports Lab
It has well equipped indoor and outdoor sport equipments and allied materials. The students’ participation in these activities helps to develop leadership skills.

STUDENT SUPPORT SYSTEM

It will develop new designs for the schools that promote students achievements, create democrative roles for young citizens, draw other community resources and contribute to local economy.

CURRICULUM ORIENTED ACTIVITIES
Following are the activities held in the department class wise and session wise. such as lesson planning, practice teaching and micro teaching through feedback mechanism, to develop teaching skills through simulations participation in the community, literacy participation in the university magazine, educational tours, extension lectures, workshops presentation, learning through tutorials, organizing class tests, seminars, adventure camps, internship programmes, sports & games, scout and guide camp.
