About College
Keral Verma Subharti College of Science, established in 2013, under the name of Faculty of Science, aims to deliver quality education in the basic sciences. The college began its journey with the B.Sc. (PCM) undergraduate course and expanded to include B.Sc. CBZ, PSM, and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Zoology, along with postgraduate courses in M.Sc. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biotechnology. Renamed as Keral Verma Faculty of Science to honor a notable Indian revolutionary from Kerala, the college added the Department of Biotechnology and the Department of Computer Application followed by the Department of Botany Department of Agriculture.
Today, the college boasts eight well-established, fully furnished departments staffed by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members. Under the expert guidance of subject teachers, students pursue their academic goals and are encouraged to participate in seminars, conferences, workshops, educational and industrial visits. Regular extracurricular activities are organized to enhance students' academic and personal growth.
In addition to undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the departments offer Ph.D. programs in various disciplines. As part of the National Education Policy (NEP), new courses have been introduced in collaboration with various departments in 2022. A Forensic Science Course was also started in the same year. The college also places a strong emphasis on student placements, working closely with industry partners to ensure students have ample opportunities for employment and practical experience in their chosen fields.
