Introduction
The Department of Defence and Strategic Studies at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, is dedicated to the study of defence, strategic affairs, national security, international relations, geopolitics, and cyber security. Guided by the University’s philosophy of “Shiksha, Seva, Sanskar evam Rashtriyata,” the Department seeks to develop academically competent, socially responsible, and nationally committed students. The programme offers an interdisciplinary understanding of military affairs, foreign policy, peace and conflict studies, intelligence, and emerging security challenges. Through quality teaching, research, seminars, and academic engagement, the Department prepares students to address contemporary national and global security issues while contributing to peace, security, and national development.
