Swami Vivekanand Subharti University has always been on a drive to work for the society, introducing aesthetic intrigue in the society, reviving its underlying sutra Shiksha, Seva, Sanskaar & Rashtriyata, has regulated to establish Swami Vivekanand Chair for promoting research work and to actualize Swami Vivekananda’s educational vision of imparting the best from the eastern and western world to impart educative and empowering attributes to the human intellect.

The Swami Vivekanand Chair aims to facilitate and encourage research culture among the faculty and students. Its prime role is to create contacts with the real world and promote research through a range of publications. It enables a congenial environment for technological development and monitors the research activities of the college. It takes upon the responsibility of creating a workplace to attract the best talent and strives continuously in pooling of skills and internal resources, creating a strategy for maintaining to be at the top of all educational institutions.

It will also be responsible for informing students about intercollegiate academic activities, research opportunities and encouraging students to publish original work in leading journals and presenting at conferences. The chair intends to organize various academic workshops, seminars and webinars to sharpen up writing and analytical skills of the students. It will flourish with an objective to encourage faculty and students alike to take up research projects on contemporary local, National and International issues. Obtaining patents and copyrights will always be promoted as one of the priorities.

Swami Vivekanand Chair will thrive to care for a more conducive environment promoting Research & Innovation activities in the university and to promote collaborative research. Intermittently, the chair will identify the potential areas of research in various disciplines and form the faculty into various clusters based on their specialization. For encouraging multi- disciplinary research internally within the university and externally with other organizations, various proposals to government agencies for obtaining funded projects will be prepared and submitted.

Swami Vivekanand Chair will assay to enlighten the education system

The Chair is located at Maharishi Aurobindo College & Hospital of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences in the University. A separate library has been established having relevant material pertaining to the life and times of Swami Vivekananda. An arresting museum exists in the Sanskriti Department of the University exemplifying the teachings of the great scholar Swami Vivekananda.
