The Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Department of Home Science established in 2012 offers a comprehensive range of courses aimed at fostering expertise in various aspects of home science. The department provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including a B.Sc. in Home Science and specialized M.Sc. programs in Food and Nutrition and Human Development. Additionally, it offers a course in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), a Diploma in Guidance and Counseling, Diploma in Public Health and Nutrition, and an M.A. in Home Science. These programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in nutrition, child development, counseling, and home science-related fields. The department encourages independent thinking and helps the students in developing holistic perspectives, strong domain knowledge, contemporary skill-sets and positive attitudes. Alumni have been placed well in good Hospitals/Health Centers.
