कारगिल युद्ध में शहीद हुए जवानां के नाम रोपित किये गये 527 पेड़। शहीदों के परिजनों को नमन करते हुए किया गया सम्मानित। विश्वविद्यालय मेंं नजर आया कारगिल विजय दिवस का जुनून। मेरठ। कारगिल विजय दिवस के अवसर पर देशभक्ति के जनून से लबरेज सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय में कारगिल विजय दिवस हर्षोल्लास के साथ पर्व के रूप में मनाया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ मांगल्या प्रेक्षागृह में मेजर जनरल जी.ओ.सी. पश्चिमी यूपी सब एरिया मेरठ श्री ए.के.गुप्ता ने विशिष्ट अतिथि विंग कमांडर प्रफुल्ल बक्शी, कर्नल एस.सी. त्यागी, नौसेना के कैप्टन राकेश शुक्ला, कर्नल राजेश अधाऊ, कर्नल राजेश त्यागी, कर्नल कपिल कत्याल के साथ सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय की कुलाधिपति श्रीमति स्तुति नारायण कक्कड, संस्थापक डा.अतुल कृष्ण, कुलपति ब्रिगेडियर डा.वी.पी. सिंह, सीईओ डा.शल्या राज एवं कर्नल डा.एन.के आहूजा ने संयुक्त रूप से दीप प्रज्जवलन करते हुए कार्यक्रम का गर्मजोशी के साथ शुभारंभ किया। इस अवसर पर फाईन आर्ट के विद्यार्थियों ने सुभारती गान प्रस्तुत किया।
स्वागत भाषण को सम्बोधित करते हुए सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति ब्रिगेडियर डा. वी.पी. सिंह ने सभी अतिथियों एवं विद्यार्थियों को कारगिल विजय दिवस की शुभकामनाएं दी। उन्होंने कहा कि कारगिल विजय को प्राप्त करने में शहीद हुए भारत माता के 527 वीर जवानों की याद को अमिट बनाने के उद्देश्य से स्वामी विवेकानन्द सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय में तीन एकड़ भूमि के अन्दर ‘‘कारगिल शहीद स्मृति उपवन‘‘ की स्थापना की गई है। उन्हांने कहा कि सभी देशवासियों का कर्तव्य है, कि वह शहीद सैनिक के परिजनों को सम्मान दे और उनकी सहायता करें। उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे वीर सैनिकों ने जिस प्रकार कारगिल युद्ध में पाकिस्तान को चारों खाने चित करके विजय ध्वज फहराया था इसी भावना का सम्मान करते हुए आज सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय शहीद सैनिकों के परिजनों को सम्मानित कर रहा है।
कर्नल एस.सी. त्यागी ने कारगिल युद्ध का सभी के समक्ष परिचय दिया। उन्होंने बताया कि युद्ध में किस प्रकार एक सैनिक अपने देश की रक्षा के लिये प्राणों की आहूति देता है। उन्होंने स्क्रीन पर कारगिल क्षेत्र का नक्शा, फोटो एवं युद्ध के दौरान की कुछ वीडियो प्रदर्शित करके सभी को भारतीय सेना की गौरवशाली पराक्रम की गाथा सुनाई।
नौसेना के कैप्टन राकेश शुक्ला ने कारगिल युद्ध में नौसेना की भूमिका से सभी को अवगत कराया। उन्होंने बताया कि कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान भारतीय नौसेना ने समुंद्री क्षेत्र में पाकिस्तान की घेराबन्दी करके उनकी कमर तोड़ने का काम किया था। उन्होंने बताया कि युद्ध के दौरान तेल की मुख्य भूमिका होती है और भारतीय नौसेना ने पाकिस्तान के तेल की सप्लाई बांधित करते हुए पाकिस्तानी नौसेना को उन्हीं की बंदरगाह से बाहर नही निकलने दिया और उन्हें युद्ध लड़ने में असमर्थ बना दिया।
वायुसेना के विंग कमांडर प्रफुल्ल बक्शी ने कारगिल युद्ध में वायुसेना की भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने बताया कि भारतीय वायुसेना के विमानों की गरज से पाकिस्तान थर थर कांपने लगा था और पाकिस्तान के क्षेत्र में घुसकर भारतीय वायु वीरों ने ताबड़तोड़ बम बरसाएं। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी देश के लिये वायुसेना की भूमिका सबसे अहम होती है और वायुसेना के बगैर युद्ध लड़ना असंभव हैं। उन्होंने भारतीय सेना के जांबाज वीरों की वीरता के पराक्रम पर आधारित अपनी कविता सुनाकर सभी को जोश से लबरेज कर दिया।
कार्यक्रम के विशिष्ट अतिथि मेजर जनरल जी.ओ.सी. पश्चिमी यूपी सब एरिया मेरठ श्री ए.के. गुप्ता ने अपने सम्बोधन में सभी को कारगिल विजय दिवस की बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय सेना के हौसलें आसमां की बुलंदियों से ऊंचे हैं और हर सैनिक भारत माता की दुशमनों से रक्षा करने हेतु तत्पर है। उन्हांने सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा कारगिल युद्ध में शहीद हुए जवानों के नाम 527 पेड़ लगाकर शहीद स्मृति उपवन की स्थापना पर हर्ष प्रकट किया। उन्होंने कहा कि आज सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय ने बहुत ही गौरवशाली कार्य किया है और शहीद स्मृति उपवन में कारगिल युद्ध में शहीद हुए 527 जवानों की याद अमर हो गई है।
इस दौरान मेजर जनरल जी.ओ.सी. पश्चिमी यूपी सब एरिया मेरठ श्री ए.के. गुप्ता, कुलाधिपति श्रीमति स्तुति नारायण कक्कड, संस्थापक डा. अतुल कृष्ण, कुलपति ब्रिगेडियर डा.वी.पी. सिंह, सीईओ डा. शल्या राज, कर्नल डा.एन.के आहूजा द्वारा कारगिल युद्ध में शहीद हुए शहीद यशवीर सिंह, शहीद जुबैर अहमद, शहीद सतपाल सिंह, शहीद योगेन्द्र सिंह, शहीद मनोज तलवार, शहीद सतीश कुमार के परिजनों को पगडी पहनाकर व स्मृति चिहृ प्रदान करके सम्मानित किया।
सेना मैडल कर्नल राजेश अधाऊ ने कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान घायल जवानों के उपचार करने की प्रक्रिया के बारे में विस्तार से बताया। उन्होंने कहा कि युद्ध में बरसती गोलियों के बीच वह डट कर अपने जवानों को चिकित्सीय सेवाएं प्रदान करते रहे इस दौरान वह कई बार दुशमनों की फायरिंग के बीच घिरे भी लेकिन उन्होंने साहस करते हुए अपने घायल जवानों का उपचार किया। यह उल्लेखनीय है कि ऐसा बहुत कम होता है कि किसी सहायक ईकाई जैसे कि मेडिकल, इंजीनियरिंग के किसी सिपाही को सेना मेडल से नवाजा गया हो परन्तु कर्नल राजेश उन गिने चुने लोगों में हैं जिन्हें मेडिकल कोर का होने के बाद भी सेना मेडल से नवाजा गया।
कार्यक्रम के संयोजक एवं चैयरमेन क्यू.सी. कर्नल डा. एन.के. आहूजा ने बताया कि सुभारती डिफेन्स एकेडमी की भी स्थापना किये जाने के प्रस्ताव पर गम्भीरता से विचार किया जा रहा है। इसके अन्तर्गत सेना में चयन होने के लिये विद्यार्थियों को विशेष ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी और स्नातक की डिग्री भी प्रदान की जाएगी। उन्होंने कहा कि सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय देश को अखण्ड राष्ट्र बनाने के संकल्प के साथ अपने विद्यार्थियों का ज्ञान वर्धन कर रहा है ताकि अपनी योग्यता से विद्यार्थी देशहित में योगदान दे सकें।
सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय की कुलाधिपति पूर्व आई.ए.एस. श्रीमति स्तुति नारायण कक्कड ने अपने उद्बोधन में कहा कि कारगिल शहीद स्मृति उपवन के द्वारा भारत माता के वीर सूपतों की याद हमेशा के लिये स्वर्णिम बन गई हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि जिस प्रकार हमारे सैनिक देश की सरहदों पर हमारी रक्षा करते है इसी प्रकार हम सभी देशवासी अपने कर्तव्य को निभाते हुए देश की उन्नती में अपना योगदान दें।
सुभारती विश्वविद्यालय के संस्थापक डा.अतुल कृष्ण ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। उन्होंने कहा कि कारगिल युद्ध में अपनी वीरता का पराक्रम दिखाकर शहीद हुए 527 जांबाज़ जवानों की शहादत की याद को अमर बनाते हुए तीन एकड़ भूमि पर विश्वविद्यालय में ‘‘कारगिल शहीद स्मृति उपवन‘‘ की स्थापना की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि शहीदों के नाम पर वृक्ष लगाकर उनकी याद को हमेशा के लिये अमर बनाया जाएंगा। उन्होंने बताया कि शहीद स्मृति उपवन देश का पहला ऐसा उपवन है जिसमें 527 शहीदों के नाम के पेड़ लगाएं गये है। इससे एक ओर हमारे पर्यावरण का संरक्षण होगा तो वहीं कारगिल युद्ध के शहीद वीर जवानों की याद हमेशा के लिये अमर होगी। उन्होंने कार्यक्रम में भारतीय थल सेना, वायुसेना एवं नौसेना के अधिकारियों एवं समस्त अतिथिगणों का अभिनंदन करते हुए धन्यवाद दिया।
कारगिल शहीद स्मृति उपवन में आयोजित वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि मेजर जनरल संजय हुड्डा रहे। इस अवसर पर शहीद यशवीर सिंह, शहीद जुबैर अहमद, शहीद सतपाल सिंह, शहीद योगेन्द्र सिंह, शहीद मनोज तलवार, शहीद सतीश कुमार के नाम के पेड़ शहीदों के परिजनों के साथ मिलकर रोपित किये गये। वंदे मातरम गायन से कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ।

Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with great fervour in Swami Vivekanand Subharti University. The program was inaugurated at Mangalya Auditorium by Major General AK Gupta – G.O.C. Western UP Sub Area, Meerut along with Wing Commander Prafulla Bakshi, Col. S.C. Tyagi, Captain Rakesh Shukla (Navy), Col. Rajesh Adhau, Col. Rajesh Tyagi, Col. Kapil Katyal along with the Hon’ble Chancellor of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Smt. Stuti Narayan Kacker, Founder Dr. Atul Krishna Bodh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Brigadier Dr. V.P. Singh, CEO Prof. (Dr.) Shalya Raj and Col. Dr. NK Ahuja. On this occasion, the students of Fine Art presented the Subharti anthem.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor gave his best wishes for the Kargil Vijay Diwas to all the guests and students. He said that “Kargil Shaheed Smriti Upvan” has been established in Swami Vivekanand Subharti University within three acres of land with the aim of making the memory of 527 brave soldiers of Mother India who were martyred in achieving the Kargil victory indelible. He said that it is the duty of all the countrymen to give respect and help to the families of the martyred soldiers. He said that today Subharti University is honouring the families of the martyred soldiers, in the same spirit as our brave soldiers had hoisted the victory flag during the Kargil war.
Colonel S.C. Tyagi dwelled on the Kargil war with his pictorial presentation. He narrated the saga of the glorious feat of the Indian Army to everyone by displaying a map of the Kargil area, photographs and some videos shot during the war.
Navy Captain Rakesh Shukla apprised everyone about the role of the Navy in the Kargil War. He told that during the Kargil war, the Indian Navy had done the work of breaking the back of Pakistan by laying siege to them in the waters. He said that oil plays a major role during the war and the Indian Navy while restricting the supply of Pakistan’s oil, did not let the Pakistani Navy out of their port and made them unable to continue fighting the war against us.
IAF Wing Commander Praful Bakshi highlighted the role of the Indian Air Force during the Kargil War. “Pakistan had started trembling due to the thunder of Indian Air Force planes”. He added that the role of the Air Force is most important for any country and it is impossible to fight a war since world war II without the support of the Air Force. He enthralled everyone by reciting his poem based on the valour of the brave heroes of the Indian Army.
The special guest of the program, Major General G.O.C. Western UP Sub Area Meerut Shri A.K. Gupta in his address, Gupta congratulated everyone on Kargil Vijay Diwas. He said that the spirit of the Indian Army is higher than the heights of the sky and every soldier is ready to protect Mother India from the enemies. He expressed happiness on the establishment of Shaheed Smriti Upvan by Subharti University wherein 527 trees were planted in the name of martyrs of the Kargil war. He said that today Subharti University has immortalised the 527 soldiers who were martyred during the Kargil war in the Shaheed Smriti Upvan. He added that he has not come across such a concept in the country till now and congratulated Col. S.C. Tyagi for the concept along with the University administration and management for agreeing to such an idea and dedicating the land for the same.
Sena Medal Colonel Rajesh Adhau explained in detail the process of treating the injured soldiers during any war including the Kargil War. He said that in the midst of raining bullets, he continued to provide medical services to his soldiers, during which he was surrounded by enemy firing many times, but he courageously ran as fast he could at the altitude of 14,000 feet, wearing the heavy snow boots and treated his injured soldiers. It is noteworthy that it is very rare that a soldier of any auxiliary unit such as medical, engineering has been awarded the Sena Medal, but Colonel Rajesh is among the few who was awarded the Sena Medal even after being from the Medical Corps.
Program coordinator and chairman Quality Control at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University – Col. Dr. N.K. Ahuja said that the proposal to establish Subharti Defense Academy is also being seriously considered. Under this, special training will be given to the students to get selected in the army and a bachelor’s degree will also be awarded. He said that Subharti University is increasing the knowledge of its students with the resolve to make the country a united nation so that students can contribute to the interest of the country by their own merit.
Former IAS and Hon’ble Chancellor of Subharti University, Meerut – Smt. Stuti Narayan Kakkar in her remarks said that the memory of the brave sons of Mother India has been etched in gold forever through the Kargil Shaheed Smriti Upvan. She said that just as our soldiers protect us on the borders of the country, similarly all of us countrymen should contribute to the progress of the country while performing our duty.
Dr. Atul Krishna Bodh, founder of Subharti Group said that by planting trees in the name of martyrs, their memory would be made immortal forever. He said that Shaheed Smriti Upvan is the first such park in the country in which trees have been planted in the names of the Kargil martyrs. On one hand, our environment will be protected and on the other hand, the memory of the brave martyred soldiers of the Kargil war will be immortalised. He thanked the officers of the Indian Army, Air Force and Navy and all the guests in the program. He added that the Subharti Group has always given precedence to the retired personnel along with the family members of the armed forces for any staffing requirement at the University.
Major General Sanjay Hooda was the chief guest of the tree plantation program organized at Kargil Shaheed Smriti Upvan. On this occasion, trees were named after Shaheed Yashveer Singh, Shaheed Zubair Ahmed, Shaheed Satpal Singh, Shaheed Yogendra Singh, Shaheed Manoj Talwar, Shaheed Satish Kumar were planted along with the families of the martyrs. The program ended with the singing of Vande Mataram.
Dr. Neeraj Karan Singh and Er. Archita Bhatnagar mesmerized the audience throughout the program with their energetic announcements as they hosted the stage.
