The College was dedicated to the sacred memory of Sardar Patel, an Iron Man and the country’s first Home Minister and eminent lawyer. The district of Meerut (which forms part of the revenue division of the same name) is named after its headquarters city and is said to be associated with earliest traditions of the Hindus according to which Maya, the father-in-law of Ravana, founded this place he called this place Mayrashtra, a name which in course of time became shortened to Meerut. Tradition has it that the district formed part of the dominions of Mahipal, king of Indraprashta and the word Meerut is associated with his name. Meerut is famously associated with the independence movement of 1857 against the British East India Company.

Baba Augharh Nath Temple (Kali Paltan Mandir)
The Temple situated in Meerut Cantonment area is devoted to Lord Shiva. It is said that the spark of the first war of independence of India, 1857 raged into a flame. Soldiers of the kali Paltan, a part of "British Army', often came to quench their thirst from the well in the Temple premises.
Shahid Smark and Government Freedom Struggle Museum Meerut
The Shahid Smarak Meerut devoted to Martyrs of India and specially associated with the first war for freedom of India 1857. The museum houses preserves, documents and exhibit cultural property of glorious past depicting important episode of the war of independence 1857 through paintings.
St. John Church and Cemetery
Built in Colonial British period, it is a master piece of architecture. A cemetery is situated near to Church where in one can see graves of the Britishers and their families killed during the upsurge in 1857, 9 graves are still in conserved condition and visible.

Parikshitgarh (Fort)
Parikshitgarh, also called as the Qila Parikshitgarh, is named after King Parikshit of Hastinapur. It is believed that the fort was constructed by King Parikshit, grandson of Arjuna, one of the Pandavas. In 1916, several silver coins dating back to the time of Shah Alam II were found under the staircase of the fort.
Hastinapur
Hastinapur is an ancient town which was the centre to the glorious tales of the epic Mahabharata. Situated on the banks of Ganga near Meerut in UP, Hastinapur is also the birth place of three Jain Teerthankara, and it has become an important centre of pilgrimage for the Jains.
It was the capital of Kauravas and was ruled by the Pandavas after winning the Mahabharata. From that era to this, the city has come along a long way but it is still known as the town of Mahabharata. It also has Hastinapur National Park. This sanctuary spread across an area of 2073 sq km has been a home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.
Gandhi Bagh/Company Garden
Gandhi Bagh is situated in Gandhi Road in Meerut Cantt which is 6 km from Meerut Railway Station. Local taxis and buses are easily available from different corners of the city to reach here. .The other name of Gandhi Bagh is Company Gardens because these were set up by the East India company on the Mall road. The important feature of these gardens is that of the evening show of musical fountain.
Bale Miyan ki Dargah
Dargah of Bale Miyan is very near to Chandi Devi Mandir. Urs is organised every year on this mazar during the Nauchandi mela. It was built by Kutubuddin Ebak in 1194.Many worshippers visit to the Dargah regularly. During the Nauchandi fair a Urus is organised every year at the Dargah.The Dargah of 'Hazrat Bale Mian', and the Temple of 'Nauchandi Devi’ are situated in such a position that they face each other. From the ancient times, the Baley Miyan Dargah and the Nauchandi fair acts as a mark of unity between two religions. During the Nauchandi fair the sound of azan from the Dargah and the temple bells together generate a divine and holy echo.
Ecological Park
Ecological Park is a scenic park located in the cantonment area of Meerut. The park is engulfed in lush greenery which makes you feel closer to nature. You can see ducks leisurely swimming in the small pond included in the park.
